August 22nd. Meet Greenville Tech’s new president Dr. Larry Miller
Greenville Tech was South Carolina’s first technical college when it opened in 1962.
In July of 2025 Dr Larry Miller became only the third president in the history of the college. With over 25 years in academia, President Miller brings deep experience in teaching, research and leadership.
Dr. Miller talks about his time at Greenville Tech and his outlook for the future of the college under his leadership
November 21st – Greenville Tech grads are in demand for great jobs
Dr. Candice Lewis, VP of Learning and Workforce Development helps us to know how valuable Greenville Tech grads is every field are to the workforce not only in Greenville, but the entire upstate.


November 14 – What are some of the qualities needed to have a successful career in health care
Andie Finley, is the dean of the School of Health Sciences. The need for graduates in all fields invovoved in health services are always in demand and Greenville Tech grads are among the best qualified for those jobs.
Finley has some recommendations for students wanting to explore health care programs at GTC
November 7th – Learn the special skills to make you the top candidate for the job you want.
Michelle Byrd is the dean of the School of Business and Computer Technology. In addition to making sure GTC grads have the skills needed for a career, GTC also helps grads develop the special soft skills needed to make the best impression on prospective employers.

October 31st – High School students can use Early College at GTC to begin their college career while still in High School
Tameka Brown is the director of Early College at Greenville Tech. There is often some confusion between Early College and Dual Enrollment. Both are great programs to help high school students get a jump on their college career.
Brown explains the difference to help young students decide which program is best for them and their families.
October 24th – After you make your decision to come to Greenville Tech find out how GTC gets your college career started

October 17th – Students questions are answered about classes, programs, financial aid, and many aspects of GTC
Brett Barclay is the dean of Academic Advising at Greenville Tech and he has been asked many questions about the college.
Barclay has answers about the Life Scholarship transfer opportunities as well as the very important value of starting or completing your education at Greenville Tech.
October 10th – Greenville Tech’s transfer opportunities make starting your college education at GTC a great way to start
Rene sawyer is the dean of the school of Arts and Science at GTC and she explains its mission. The many courses of study available at Greenville Tech are often the starting point for students who want a four year degree.
Sawyer explains many of the transfer options as well as a new program called reverse transfer along with information for high school students to take advantage of the GTC Dual Enrolllment opportunities.


October 3rd – Greenville Tech honors our veterans service with special opportunities for the veteran and their children
Chrissy Schatzle is the director of the Office of Military and Veteran Programs at Greenville Tech. As a veteran Schatzie brings the life experience of a veteran to GTC and understands the special needs of veterans.
Schatzie explains how her office helps veterans as well as the children of veteran and a veterans organization on the GTC campus.
September 26th – GTC Foundation works to provice support for students
Ginger Mauney is the manager of the Greenville Tech Foundation. She leads the Foundation’s important work of supporting the schools efforts to provide finacial aid and scholarships for GTC students. She explains how to apply for the special aid from the Foundation.


September 19th – GTC welcomes the Modern Campus platform
Jennifer Moorefield, associate vice president, Corporate and Continuing Education offers some of the benefits of the new features at http://www.gvltec.edu using the Modern Campus platform and reminds job seekers and career changers of the many Quick Jobs courses available at Greenville Tech
September 5th – Find out about Advanced Manufacturing at GTC
Kelvin Byrd, the Dean of the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation Technology, has answers to questions about some of the hands-on prograns at GTC and how they are affordable and can lead to a four-year degree.


August 29th – Thinking about College Time to fill out your FAFSA
Amy Munoz is the Financial Aid Director at GTC and in this interview she talks about the importance of getting your paper work in order so you can apply for many different kinds of financial aid.
