Scott on the Sidelines
As the Executive Director of the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association, Early has led the fight to increase information and decrease the use of vaping while warning students and parents of the danger of fentanyl.
Scott Early is the Executive Director of the South Carolina High School Athletic Coaches Association. Early became the leader of the over 6,000 Palmetto State prep coaches after a successful career as a football head coach.
Early’s Myrtle Beach team won the AAA state championship and produced championship contenders at several other high schools including Anderson’s Westside.
After a career on the sidelines,now in the front office, Early missed the noise, the chaos, the high-fives and yes, even the smell of the turf, the sweat and the popcorn.
When there is a big game in the Upstate, Early wants to be on the sidelines soaking in the action and bringing a special experienced report on the contest to the Greenville Tech Scoreboard.
“Scott on the Sidelines” is a new feature of the Scoreboard as Early trades his coaches whistle for a microphone to sum up the game and bring us a coach to coach interview with the winner.
